Fun Learning with MIT students

Today we were very lucky to have some MIT students teachers,  visit us to do some fun hands-on learning activities. We got to do some really neat things. Take a look at these pictures.

Balloons

As part of talking about air we blew up some balloons and had some fun.
 POP POP POP

Room 23 had some great ideas about air:

Air is invisible.
We can't touch or grab air but we can feel it, like when it swishes past us when we run.
We breath air.
When it is cold we see the air coming out of our mouth.
Some things need air to move - windmills, gliders, hot air balloons, bubbles, lanterns and balloons.
Air makes things light. Apples have air in them that's why they float.
A balloon pops because all the air comes out.
