Matariki Puppet Show

We were so lucky we had the opportunity to go to Hawkins Theatre to see a glow-in-the-dark puppet show. It was all about the seven Matariki stars and how the eldest sister star pushed the youngest, smallest star out of the sky. She landed in the sea and met lots of sea creatures. She made friends with a Taniwha. But because she was not in the sky with her six sisters everything in the world was going crazy! The kiwi were mooing, the glow worm was meowing and the fish was barking! In the end her sister came to get her and take her back up to the sky, so the the stars were back in alignment and the world would be normal again.
It was such a great show and we loved seeing the glowing puppets. What an amazing experience!
